I am a third-year student at Northeastern University pursuing a B.A. in journalism with a minor in marketing.

While I am studying in Boston, I am currently a staff writer for Northeastern's independent student newspaper, where I served as a  Student Government Association beat writer. I finished my first co-op working as a nightside reporter for Boston.com where I published more than 100 articles. Afterwords, I served as an intern at John Guilfoil Public Relations where I contributed to numerous large companywide projects. I have  previously worked for FREESKIER magazine where I helped launch their annual buyers guide. I also have previous experience at WCVB Channel 5 News, where I produced a package pertaining to Juneteenth celebrations in the greater Boston area.

Milford teen detained by ICE details 6 days in confinement, what comes next in interview with The News

On May 31, Marcelo Gomes Da Silva, an 18-year-old rising senior at Milford High School, was unexpectedly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, officials while en route to volleyball practice. Card skimming device found in East Boston prompts warning from police

The discovery of a skimming device attached to a bank ATM at an East Boston CVS has prompted police to warn the public about the ongoing scam.

Sometime between June 5 and June 6, a makeshift ATM card slot and a pinhole camera were removed from a Santander ATM inside a CVS at 210 Border St., police said.

Symphony MBTA station will be closed for 3 years amid accessibility renovations

Well… somebody’s commute just got longer.

The MBTA announced Wednesday that the Green Line Symphony station will be closed from June 6 until the summer of 2029 while it undergoes “major accessibility improvements.”

24 hours after the 2026 Boston Marathon, the barefoot runner’s feet are feeling ‘great’

A man who ran the 2026 Boston Marathon barefoot is now recovering, and his feet are somehow feeling “great,” the runner said.

Terrence Concannon, 24, made the bold decision to compete in the Boston Marathon barefoot, which is “probably [a] one and done” experience, he said.

This 2026 Boston Marathon finisher ran the whole race barefoot

Terrence Concannon, a former Massachusetts resident, left his running shoes at home and ran the 2026 Boston Marathon barefoot.

“I’ll be the youngest person to ever do it,” Concannon said in a social media post.

Concannon, a Tampa resident originally from Hingham, finished the Boston Marathon in 03:57:23, the BAA’s tracking website shows.

Protesters in downtown Boston demand 'complete end' to 'illegal wars' with Iran, Lebanon

A crowd of nearly 150 demonstrators gathered in downtown Boston Wednesday evening in response to a post by President Donald Trump they said had threatened genocide agains Iran.

5 teens arrested after Panera brawl; BPD has responded to location more than 15 times this year, department says

Five teenagers were arrested Monday for allegedly kicking, shoving, and throwing tables at police after they were asked to leave a Panera Bread in Dorchester, police said.

Two 15-year-old girls and one 17-year-old girl face charges of trespassing, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest in connection with the fight, Boston police said in a press release.

Hilary Duff will be Northeastern University's 2026 commencement speaker

Northeastern University announced actor and singer-songwriter Hilary Duff as its 2026 undergraduate commencement speaker in a Y2K-themed social media post on Wednesday.

Duff, 38, rose to fame in the early 2000s as a Disney actress and is most known for her roles in the TV show “Lizzy Maguire” and movies like “A Cinderella Story” and “Cadet Kelly.”

A Dorchester man was resentenced for the 2011 fatal shooting of a Dorchester teen after his previous conviction was overturned, prosecutors said.

Pittsfield man, 69, killed in hit-and-run crash that dragged him 'lengthy distance,' DA says

A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Pittsfield late Tuesday night after being dragged a “lengthy distance” by the undercarriage of the car, prosecutors said.

SGA votes to cap number of senators from each academic college
